After a SAP career in Walldorf, I joined the management team of Unisys Germany in 2010 to build a business unit focusing on complex SAP transformations as enterprises started to move their tier one applications into hybrid clouds. In 2013, I founded Data Transition Services GmbH (DTS) in Eschborn and built a company with 25 employees as CEO and senior managing partner. The company focused on complex SAP transformation projects, solutions around SAP and cloud data centers, and supporting customers in implementing future-oriented IT concepts and next-generation SAP architectures. On behalf of SAP, we had the privilege of performing the world's first brownfield migration to SAP S/4HANA as well as the first conversion of SAP BankAnalyzer to HANA in the field. In recognition of these achievements, my company was awarded the highest SAP partner status. Based on high demand, I recognized the need to work with larger integration partners and decided to sell DTS to Seven Principles Group in 2018 and to integrate them. I contributed my knowledge within the company takeover, integration, growth of a stable sales pipeline and took disciplinary responsibility for the SAP and Big Data units in a direct reporting line to the Executive Board. My operations unit performed 24*7 SAP system operations for demanding customers in the financial industry, while advisory specialized in the execution of critical SAP transformation projects and provided consulting to customers in all phases during the implementation and transition to S/4HANA. Furthermore, in parallel to my work for 7P until October 2020, I was a Senior Partner for Intelligent Data Analytics GmbH & Co. KG, a startup for data management and data integration, which I founded in 2017 together with one employee (today 40 employees). Using innovative machine learning approaches, we helped airlines to save kerosene and make real-time statements about the fleet's CO2 emissions, predict and manage emission certificates in an automated way. We helped customers in the chemical industry to significantly improve purity levels and reduce waste via our MOIRA software solution. In 2020, I was nominated twice for the SAP Innovation Award and won several public tenders on S/4HANA transitions. Today, as an Enterprise Architect with focus on SAP, I am responsible for the enterprise architecture and the transformation of Commerz-Real AG to SAP S/4HANA. In addition, I am responsible for the SAP strategy of the Technology & Innovation business unit as well as the further development of the SAP BI and group data strategy.

Thomas Buck ist seit Januar 2025 CIO der ZF Group. Derstudierte Maschinenbau-Ingenieur begann seine Karriere 1998 als technischerLeiter eines IT-Dienstleisters. Zwischen 2001 und 2007 war Buck inunterschiedlichen Funktionen für die damalige Siemens VDO tätig. Im Anschlussdaran verantwortete er bei Continental Automotive den Bereich Engineering DataManagement und führte bei dem Unternehmen ein einheitliches PLM-System ein.Fünf Jahre leitete er die weltweite IT-Infrastruktur im Continental-Konzern, bevorer 2016 als CIO in die Automotive-Sparte des Unternehmens wechselte. 2019separierte Buck die IT im Rahmen der Vitesco-Ausgliederung aus demMutterkonzern und übernahm im Anschluss daran die Position des Group CIO beiVitesco Technologies.
